Peer Review Process

International Journal of Language Testing (IJLT) follows a rigorous double blind peer review policy. Each submitted paper is first evaluated for its academic style consistency, topic appropriacy as well as being free from plagiarism. If the paper is found inappropriate, it is returned to the author(s) for further work and probable resubmission.

The papers that meet initial submission criteria are then reviewed by at least two members of editorial, advisory board or anonymous reviewers. Based on the feedback offered by the reviewers via the journal system, the Managing Editor communicates to the corresponding author and announces the status of the paper (as Accept as it is; Accept with minor changes; Accept with major changes; Revise and Resubmit as a new paper; and Reject). The IJLT team tries to keep the review process as short and reasonable as possible and the contributing authors are expected to receive a decision within 4-5 months of submission. Accepted papers will be waiting in a queue for placement into an issue.

For accepted papers, by agreeing to publish their papers in IJLT, the authors grant copyright to the IJLT and Tabaran Institute of Higher Education Press to exclusive publication of their papers online at the Journal website. While published papers may be downloaded free of charge and used for academic/research purposes by readers, they are not allowed to be re-produced in another form without the written permission from the Publisher.

To submit your article, read the Guide for Authors. Please note that manuscripts not conforming to these guidelines may be returned. Only sufficient quality manuscripts that meet the aims and scope of IJLT will be reviewed. Manuscripts submitted to IJLT should neither be published previously nor be under consideration for publication in another journal.

Contributors should submit their manuscripts via the online submission system so that their papers can be sent for review. Submissions by email are not acceptable and will be discarded.

Articles in IJLT are reviewed and published free of charge.
