We welcome submissions for the upcoming special issues of IJLT:

Advanced Psychometric Methods in Language Testing

 

The International Journal of Language Testing invites submissions to a Special Issue on Advanced Psychometric Methods in Language Testing. This special issue is dedicated to the application of advancements in psychometrics and statistics in language testing. Specific areas of interest include, but are not limited to, parametric and nonparametric item response theory, diagnostic classification models including knowledge space theory, structural equation modeling, factor analysis, mixed effects modeling, machine learning, and computerized testing. The special issue welcomes contributions from a wide range of disciplines including, but not limited to, applied linguistics, statistics, education, psychometrics, and psychology provided that language competence data is modeled.

The special issue welcomes new methodological developments and reviews of the modern statistical and psychometric tools with interesting applications in language testing. All submissions must be original unpublished work and must follow the submission guidelines given on the journal’s homepage: https://www.ijlt.ir/.

 Two types of submissions will be considered:

  1. Full length articles
  2. Research notes (maximum 3000 words including abstract, references, and tables) which mainly focus on method demonstrations.

1 July 2022: Submissions begin

30 December 2022: Submission period ends

30 January 2023: End of review process

1 March 2023: Special Issue will be published
